New Pics

Can't tell you how excited I was today to get the inside illustrations for Water Keep and the . . . map! I have always wanted to write a book with a map in it. I know that is a totally geeky thing. But it has just made me smile all day! I asked my publisher if I could share a couple of them with you. Not sure how clear the pictures will be in this format. But here goes.

This is the picture from the start of Part III. It will be a two page spread. Those of you who have read Farworld will know what it is. Those of you who haven't need to. :)

This is the map. It will become much more detailed as future books come out. Hint. There is an unmarked location that ties in with the picture from Part III.

So what do you all think?

Those pictures look amazing! But please don't tell me I need to read my ARC - if I read it now, I'll have to write the review now. If I write the review now, I'm not going to want to wait to post it. I'm trying to forget about the book until late July/August (I'm not scheduled until late August) because I'm too excited to get into it!

Awesome! The picture for Part 3 is really cool, and so is the map.

I love the map! It adds a nice visual, especially having already read the book. I can't wait to see the released version. See you in Late July for a tour stop.

These are both great! So, I've read the manuscript, and I'm going to be reading the ARC, but these illustrations tell me I'll need to read the book again when it has all the pictures inside!

I love the top picture--just how I imagined that particular scene! See, this is why I'm jealous of Middle-grade and YA writers--they get ORIGINAL ARTWORK inside their books!

Oooooh... Wow, so cool! Brandon Dorman is incredible. He did a fantastic job with Fablehaven and now with your series.

Love the Map!! And, I think a lot of us are 'geeks' at heart, so I totally get the wanting a map in your book thing ;p

Oh, BTW, Deslily sent me over, nice blog!!

Just finished your book last night. I think a map would have helped me because I'm so geographically challenged. And even though I have an ARC, I'm going to have to by the "real" book when it illustrations because I want the map and the pictures.

I just finished the book, too. I got pulled in and thoroughly enjoyed it. Neat illustrations!
